Questions people ask

What is the best volcano tour on the Big Island?

It depends on where you stay and how many of you there are. From Kona with one to four people, a group day tour is the value pick. For five or more, a private tour costs about the same per head. From Oahu, a fly-in day trip is the only way to do it in one day.

How long is a volcano tour from Kona?

Eight hours for a straight park day, up to 11 or 12 hours if it adds stargazing on Mauna Kea.

Are park entry fees included in volcano tours?

Sometimes. Kailani Tours includes park fees. Other listings do not say, so ask before you book.
